The tutor says of herself:

I am a passionate tutor dedicated to making education accessible, engaging and enjoyable for every pupil. I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, interests, abilities and learning style.
With over 6 years of tutoring experience, I have supported children aged 4–16, from EYFS through to GCSE level. I am also qualified to support pupils with SEND and can incorporate educational interventions such as ELSA and SALT strategies where appropriate.
My lessons are designed to be both fun and purposeful, using a variety of resources and teaching strategies, including videos, games, worksheets, quizzes, assessments, discussions and knowledge-building activities.
Building positive relationships with my pupils is extremely important to me. I create a friendly, supportive and non-judgemental environment where pupils feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities.
Lessons are flexible, ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I am also happy to answer any questions or offer a trial lesson to ensure I am the right fit for your child.
English: I tailor my English lessons to each pupil’s ability, confidence and individual goals. I use a mixture of reading, writing, discussion, creative activities and interactive resources to keep learning engaging.
I cover spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, comprehension, creative writing and exam preparation. For GCSE pupils, I focus on developing strong analytical skills and confidence with exam-style questions.
I break challenging topics into manageable steps, helping pupils.
Maths: I make Maths lessons supportive, practical and engaging, adapting each session to the pupil’s ability and areas for development. I use clear explanations, worked examples, games, activities and regular practice to help pupils understand the ‘why’ behind their answers.
I cover key areas such as number, fractions, decimals, percentages, problem-solving, algebra, geometry and exam preparation. I break challenging concepts into smaller, achievable steps and encourage pupils to develop confidence, accuracy and independence in their mathematical thinking.
Science: I make Science lessons engaging and easy to understand by linking new concepts to real-life examples and encouraging pupils to ask questions and explore ideas. I use diagrams, videos, activities, quizzes and exam-style questions to reinforce learning.
I cover key areas across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, adapting lessons to each pupil’s level and curriculum. I break complex topics into manageable sections, helping pupils build their knowledge, apply scientific terminology and develop confidence in answering questions.
History: I make History engaging by bringing the past to life through storytelling, discussion, source analysis and interesting facts. I encourage pupils to understand not just what happened, but why events happened and their impact.
Lessons can include timelines, historical sources, videos, quizzes and exam-style questions. I help pupils develop their knowledge, chronology, interpretation and analytical skills while building confidence in explaining historical events and reaching well-supported conclusions.
Geography: I make Geography engaging by connecting topics to the real world and encouraging pupils to understand how people, places and environments interact. I use maps, diagrams, videos, case studies, quizzes and practical activities to make learning memorable.
I cover physical and human Geography, adapting lessons to each pupil’s curriculum and ability. I help pupils develop key geographical knowledge, terminology, data and map skills, while building confidence in application.
I look forward to hearing from you!
