Hello, I’m Alison. I have 15 years experience teaching and tutoring A-Level, undergraduate, and post-graduate students in all social science subjects. I have worked at universities in the UK and abroad, and have taken on private students. I am experienced in teaching all key themes in sociology, anthropology, human geography, politics, media studies, international relations, international development and socio-economics. I also often teach more general study skills, essay techniques, etc. I really enjoy helping students understand ideas they feel are difficult or too abstract – for example, I love finding everyday examples from our real lives to illustrate theories. Bringing subjects alive is what matters to me. I work online or face-to-face and with individuals or groups of up to 6.
