The tutor says of herself:

During the past 25 years I have worked as an English Specialist in Middle and Secondary schools across Norfolk and Suffolk. I steadily rose through the ranks and, eleven years ago, became Head of the Faculty of English, Performance and Communication at a local high school. My Master’s degree involved researching the impact of assessment on students and I use various strategies to improve the achievement of students in my care. Generally, I use a stepped approach to learning, linking every session to the student’s previous performance while focusing ahead to the next step on their road to achievement. In addition, I am an A* marker for GCSE English Language and this has provided me with invaluable insight into the requirements for examination success. Moreover, for the first 9 years of my career, I taught in middle schools, teaching students from Year 4 to Year 7. I also marked SATS papers and led marking sessions across other primaries to develop student responses to the examination. I am calm and patient but also highly competitive and I love to achieve success, not only for myself but for my students.
